Welcome to the Principal's Corner!
I am so excited to provide helpful information on this site- be on the lookout for newsletters with important dates, celebrations, reminders and much more! I hope you find the site useful as we work together in your child's journey at Davenport Elementary School!
I want to give you all a little background on who I am. My educational and professional path is as follows: I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology & Spanish, a Master's Degree in Counseling, a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and a Certificate in Mental Health. I practiced as a school counselor for 10 years and I had the opportunity to teach English in Mexico. I am an adjunct faculty member at Bradley University and a Neurosequential Model of Education (NME) trainer through the ChildTrauma Academy. I consider myself a life long learner and hope to instill the love of learning into all the students at Davenport!
On a more personal note, I live in Eureka with my husband Aaron and our three children Liam, Kallen, & Vivian. In my free time, I love to read, attend sporting events, travel and connect with family & friends! I love to serve those around me and have been able to do that as a member of the executive board for The DAX Foundation and the Central IL Ronald McDonald Teen Council advisor. I am very excited and honored for the opportunity to serve the students, staff, families, and the community of Davenport Elementary School!
